Hi all

This maybe a silly question but how do i delete an email from my inbox without reading it? I use the free idnet ones (webmail.idnet.com).

Rik

Highlight it and hit the delete button (red circle with diagonal bar), afaik, David.

Drag it straight to the bin.

yup that works

david666

As soon as i highlight (click it) it justs opens,i dont want to look at it,i just want to delete it without opening it.

Rik

It shouldn't open without a double click, I think, David, but tbh, I don't use webmail. Try dragging as Vit suggests.

Hmm cannot drag and drop the email,as emails open with one-click.

vitriol

Click and hold, drag to bin

david666

nope it still opens the email

vitriol

weird., that works for me, it doesn't open it.

Aha just sorted it had to go to "personal settings" and turn off "Show preview pane".Many thx anyway.

vitriol

My preview pane is enabled and it still doesn't show when I click on the mail (hold the mouse button down) and then drag to the bin,

No matter, glad your sorted.

Simon

I hate Preview Panes, and switching them off is the first thing I do with any mail client.
