Im over the moon with this monitor the colour is brilliant, sharp.I didnt expect such a transformation with just a monitor,at a loss to know why they have gone up in price and its not a little £30 is a lot when you think about it.

I would have ended up with the HP if I had not thought to ask for some help on here in choosing  to you all  ;D

A good monitor is priceless, tbh, David - it's what you spend a lot of time actually using, the rest of the hardware is just driving the screen, really.  :thumb:

Odd that, because one of the sale headers is still at the old price until you click on it. I was tempted and probably will be when the price is right for me. Glad your pleased with it, all you need now is some surround sound speakers if you've not got some already.

Rik

I highly recommend them, Paul. There is a Pro version, but it doesn't really add anything for the home user.

so this makes the monitor have the correct colours etc?

will it be useful for a wide gamut monitor?

Rik

Yes and yes. It puts up a series of colour targets on the screen and measures the output. From that, it can create an accurate profile which will allow 'screen to print' matching. It's not just colour, of course, it also sets up the grey scale - and the difference in that is usually very noticeable.

I'm very surprised at this, I've ordered loads of components from Overclockers and every time it has been delivered on the day / specified time.  The delivery service is usually spot on.

Glad you got the monitor though David, take some pics please :)

I might be in the market for a new one soon

Have got a few pics as promised,is there any other way other than sizing them down as attatchments as on this machine at present have no photosuite at present ?

No, I've never used them - I just Googled.

Do you have to leave it connected all the time or once its done its job can you disconnect it?

Rik

You can disconnect it, or leave it connected and it will adjust the screen for ambient light levels. As I try to control the ambient light level and quality, I tend to disconnect.
