Any known problems with these 2 or should it be a simple job of plugging the network cable from my router in my PC and off we go?

psp83

I've not had any problems with my vista and netgear dg834g v3 router.

only trouble you may get is seeing a shared folder on a xp machine. but this is a problem between vista and xp and plently about it on google.

I use a netgear Dg834pn and have three pc's networked. One has vista the other two have xp and I don't have any problems.

Just remember to change the name of your workgroup on Vista to MSHOME as that's what XP uses.
