Hi all,

I think this is probably my first post on idnetters, so hello to you all. I read the posts often enough but have never got around to posting. Been with idnet about 9 months and so far very happy.

I'm trying to find some opinions on a new PC, I was originally just going to go and and buy myself a DELL off the shelf, but I can get a lot more hardware for my money from someone like Arbico or Chillblast and at the same time not have to start deleting all the junk software that Dell put on their PC's.

Has anyone got any experience of either of these two makes, mainly from the reliabilty and stability point of view. All the hardware seems to be well known branded stuff, eg. Gigabyte, Corsair, Samsung, LG etc so I'm finding it hard not to give it a go, but as I don't buy PC's very often (I'm still running W98 on a 600Mhz AMD athlon !!) I was going to get the best I could afford and its a lot of money to throw at unknown equipment.

Anyone used them?  Cheers, Keith.

Simon

Hi Keith, and  :welc: :karma:

I have no experience of those two brands, I'm afraid.  Have you looked at Scan Computers?  I believe they will make one up to your own specifications, and I know one or two people here who would recommend them.  I am sure there will be some more comments to follow.  :)

Hi Keith :welc: :karma:

Like Simon, I don't know those companies unfortunately, but I'm one of the people who would recommend Scan. ;)

Tekheads would get my vote, great customer service if anything should go wrong. I had to return a motherboard to them, 2 days later I had the replacement, no fuss just great service.

We'll give you a couple of dozen opinions on your spec if you want. ;)
