What are your line stats, post those and we can tell you whether you should be getting better speeds. Your upload is OK, btw. Netgear's are very easy to set up, and for some people do better than other brands - life was simpler before Max.

Has your sync speed improved  or is it just your download speed?

Yes it has improved, I'm now getting 8128kbps i was getting approx 7500kbps.

What router has it replaced?

It was a Trust 445A modem/router , when i first installed i was getting over 8000kbps but after my exchange went RED it dropped and never picked up again once it went GREEN again.
