My new Billion Router seems to be giving me approx 1000kbps more than my Trust router used to, I'm now getting speeds between 6000 + 7000kbps regularly.
I cant remember a time when i connected at more than 7000 kbps (in the stats below)  but this one is rock steady at 8128kbps.
Is it a coincidence or have i just dropped lucky on a fairly cheap wireless modem/router that does the job well.
Are the stats below normal, high or low ?

                               Downstream         Upstream
  SNR Margin  :             10.5                  15.0  db
  Line Attenuation  :     19.5                    8.5  db
  Data Rate  :               8128                    832  kbps

Looks good.
The Solwise (now Billion) I used to have gave me only 2/3 of the speed I'm getting with Speedtouch, so as Rik never tires of saying (), looks like there's no predicting what will work best for anybody on Max.

Main thing is, if it does the job for you.

I don't usually run speed tests but tonight i got the fastest Ive ever had at IDNet.

Well Max, inspired by that, I ran the Giganews speed test in the hope of registering 8 Meg or more, but it just gave me the same as the BT test, 4.2

They all seem to come in the same for me this morning, apart from speetest.net which comes in at 4.35.  So that's the one I'll be using in future!!!

(ps for the slower ones among our readers, that's a joke )

I do get tired, I just possess stamina. :)
