Interesting, DSG always used to push Orange. I'm not sure what that says about any of the companies involved.  :eyebrow:

I wonder if this is a marrage made in heaven or hell? I guess that'll be down to their customers to decide. I must admit my jaw hit the floor when I saw this announcement

You will get the hard sell with every purchase now, on top of the insurance

I actually do go in from time to time because their ineptitude sometimes means walking away with a real bargain. I had to laugh recently when they tried to sell an extended warrentee on my last bargain, an Epson scanner/printer for £9.99 which was supposed to sell for £89.99. Every cloud... :)

 ;D

I think they should start selling warranties and give the hardware away - it more accurately reflects their business model.

That would be so appropriate  ;D

I remember a few years ago buying a kettle from another awful DSG store, Currys. I don't remember how much the kettle was but I do remember that the extended 2 year warrentee was around double the cost of the kettle. I also remember quite vividly the slighlty dazed look on the salesman's face when I pointed to the 3 year manufacturer's return to base guarentee plastered in big letters all over the box!

They're not usually too bright in DSG are they. ;D I usually just explain the Sale of Goods Act to them.

That must take some time for some of the younger members of staff to understand.

Most of them are still trying to get it by the time it's no longer relevant.  :eyebrow:
