Windows 7 ready for Christmas...

Microsoft has reportedly told PC and systems engineering partners that Windows 7, the successor to Windows Vista, will be on PCs in time for the next holiday season.

I have heard that Windows 7 will the finished version of Vista, or rather what Vista should have been when it was released.

It's what I've believed from the outset, Glenn. I've always had the feeling that Vista was released because of market pressures rather than when it was ready.

Give them a chance Rik.  They've got to wait and see what Apple does next so they can copy it come out with some 'innovative technology'.

Quite a few of the people writing are well known in the Windows field but are not associated with M$.

From what is written it certainly looks like it is Vista revamped.

Did you guys watch the video on the bbc technology site? it crashed playing a DVD lol !
