Hi Everyone

I'm new here to the forum, but  I've been with Idnet for a while now. Idnet is the best ISP I have ever been with and is tops :thumb:.
The problem I have is, I've just set up my photo gallery and have been trying to use Gallery Remote 1.5 to upload photos. For some unknown reason it will not connect to my gallery even if I disable Vistas firewall. I keep getting an error message saying :

gallery remote can find no protocol implementation at the URL http://gallery.idnet.com/main.php/v/my gallery's name
check with a web browser that http://gallery.idnet.com/main.php/v/my gallery's name is a valid Gallery URL.

The URL is valid because I can access it with Firefox 3, which is the browser I use.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Have a lovely day  :)

Hi Tony

Welcome to Netters. :welc: :karma:

I've only ever created an album from within the interface, I'm not sure how you would do it using other software (or even if you can).

From the help page:

Easy uploading from Windows XP
Goto "Add Items", select "Windows XP" and then follow the instructions. This will allow you to upload photos directly from the Windows file manager.

Hi Rik and Sebby

Thank you for the replies. I'm running Vista on my laptop which is where I've been trying to upload with Gallery Remote, but my desktop has XP I will try from my desktop.
I have manged to upload a few pics from the Gallery interface without any problems, but it seems awfully slow  >:( thats is why I've been trying to use Gallery Remote and because with Gallery remote you can drag and drop as well. Perhaps me being lazy  :D
Hava lovely day

I don't use the gallery, but perhaps someone that does can try it and see if it's slow for them. :)
