It's not bizarre, it's BT. :( Mine lost sync due to what I assume, from the monitoring app, was noise (-2db margin). It came back 400k higher with a 9db margin. I think the big problem with Max is that it all comes down to what frequencies you pick up when you re-sync, and we have no control over that.
