Fix the pings (new edited version)

If you are getting high pings try this -



Get into your modem routers settings copy your username (it will save you typing it later)

Change your username to : speedtest@speedtest_domain and leave the password as it is as its not required.



Reboot the router to save the settings  then  establish a connection with the new details.

Once the connection has been established, load up your  web browser and navigate

to one of the following website address: http://217.35.209.142 or http://217.32.105.42


If the BT speedtest eventually shows up (it can take a few seconds to load) you have completed the task.

Go back to your router  settings delete the BT username and paste yours back in  and reboot the router.

Now keep your fingers crossed .

If it doesn't work repeat the above

Earlier i was getting very high pings over 100ms, i tried the method above twice and it didn't help , the next try worked and the pings dropped somewhere near normal,you can still see  the odd high one 50+ but at least now i could have a game where before it would have been pointless.
