:o :o :o  oh dear. just got a shout from the wife says that her new laptop had a message that windows is shutting down to recover from an  error........or something similar. dont know exactly what it was but any ideas. is there any logs or the like to record this. its running Vista remember
:)

Baz

oh yeah. dont know what that was just waiting to see if it settles down. I bought two laptops, one for the wife and other for son.....this morning sons wouldnt boot up ???  all he said was that last night on shut down it displayed some message like, 'updating configuration' or similar, dont really know. I just turned off left it for a while, unplugged from power and it booted up ok.Have no idea at all what it could be.All ive done on them bothe is install a bit software and get them on the network and on line. Have just updayed the firmware for my router incase it needed to be vista compatible  as was just on XP before:dunno:   just a guess

hope I'm not gonna get lots of daft faults like this, will put me off Vista for good.
