Got a strange one here
  Gen soft updates
  Once upon a time
   Who is this

All seem to be stuck, when I click on new replies to my posts, they always show up, as far as I am aware I've only replied to these topic's once, several months ago, and clicked off the notify many times to try and get rid, to no effect.
Just a minor thing, I know, but annoying, can someone fix it please. :fingers:

This can happen for a number of reasons, Bob, eg someone modifies a post... Have you tried logging out of the forum and then back in, or clearing your cache?

Try clicking the Unread Posts link above 'New replies', Bob.  Does the same happen?  Also, once you've read all you want to, try clicking the 'Mark all messages read' link in the Unread Posts screen, and see if that helps.

And that
Even tried switching "notify on" and then "notify off"  still no difference, strange it only happens on those three, its like a stuck flag or something.

Yes, I would be too!  How about logging out, deleting the cookie, and allowing it to set a new one?

Sorry Rik, this thread and who is this are the only ones that show up. ???

Rik

Those two should be showing up, surely? Or have I got the wrong end of this?

I've now switched off all notifications with the exception of this thread, see what happens :dunno:

Rik

This and 'who is' are the only two threads to be posted in for a while, Bob, so if they were showing up but nothing else, then things would appear to be working correctly.

Yes Rik, I've not posted in who is this and its never been switched on in notify, so it shouldn't show to me in new replies to my posts

Rik

This is odd. Let me look at that thread. All of the things which normally cure such issues we've tried.  :shake:

It is very strange, it started with just "Who is this" and then suddenly the other two arrived :)

I've just looked through all your posts, Bob, and you mentioned this before, on August 20. You have posted in the threads which are causing you a problem, so I'd normally guess at a modified post after yours, but I can't see anything obvious.

We'll have a think.

What browser are you using, what AV and OS?
