Hi there, just checked my sync rate today and was pleasantly surprised. When I first joined IDNet a few months ago I was on a about 6.5mb sync. Then a few weeks ago it went up to around 7.2mb sync. Today I have checked again and I am getting the following.

Up Speed 832000
Down Speed 8128000
SNR Margin 9
Loop Att. 29

Really chuffed :)

Anyone know if the SNR and Loop Att look fairly normal?

Cheers.

that would be down to your phone line. can go up if you have changed filters or if BT have decided that a lampost in your street is rotten and they recable your street.

Hi Vader

As Colin says, this is down to BT doing something right for a change. You've got full sync with some noise margin to spare, enjoy.  :thumb:

It's rare for BT to carry out work that actually improves the condition of a line, but it looks like they have in this case. :)

lol BT never do anything to improve things its the subcontractors they get to do the repairs with lamposts that improve things. hehe

Hmm ... lamposts you say, they recently replaced a dozen or so lamp posts around the corner from me, in fact they have replaced pretty much all the lamposts in the general area in these last few months.

Lance

That could well explain the change then! Enjoy!

Many hammer all over the wall and believe that with each blow they hit the nail on the head.
