POP3 problem?

Is there a problem with the POP3 server on the idnet.com email addresses?  I can see my email via webmail, but Outlook point-blank refuses to download the messages through the POP3 server, despite me checking and re-entering the settings twice.  Outlook happily downloads messages from other POP3 servers.

My phone just connected to my pop3 idnet.com no problems at all. Sometimes outlook can play up so i recommend rebooting the pc if you haven't already.

Hmmm.  This is very odd.   ???

I had already rebooted but tried it again, just in case.  While I logged off an email arrived in my old <shudder> Tiscali account which I can still access, and Outlook fetched it fine.  However, the 6 emails that are sitting in my IDNet email are stuck firmly on the server.  :dunno:

Update - after sitting there for 5 minutes, with only 25 bytes out of 120 KB downloaded, all the emails came through in a rush!  Really can't fathom that, but I hope the problem has gone away now  :fingers:

Odd one, Bruce. Keep an eye on it and let support know if it repeats. I find that Outlook will sometimes hang on one of my addresses, not necessarily IDNet, and re-starting Outlook after a minute or so will normally cure it.

Another one of those unexplainable glitches, I think. :)

For the record, my POP3 emails have been fine.  :)
