I've just read this BBC news article about a Windows Worm, the links on the page led me to the Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer which some may find useful

I feel sorry for whichever country / enterprise that will have this thing pointed at them

Can I take it that if I'm up-to-date with the monthly Microsoft Security Updates and also have constantly updated NOD32 that my computer is protected against this worm?

According to the BBC, we need the KB958644 Security Update, I've just checked and my computer has it. :)

Rik

I'm not sure I have the energy to check that against the seemingly endless list of patches. ;)

It came out on 24/10/08 for me, Rik.

I checked on the MS update site, as that's in chronological order, which makes it easier to find. I've been safely patched since October.  :thumb:

All PC's at Cosford are still off line, my mate told me last night, every PC on the station that connects to their military network was rebuilt over the weekend............ with the wrong image. ;D
