Yes, it is better to know if there will be a delay and they are a good company. It's just a shame that all this is happening.

Using TI 9.x for a few years to backup and restore between hard drives and from/To RAID. MBR's/boot sectors are included in the backup by default so you'll be greeted with a windows bootloader as you expect.

Things can get slightly more complicated with multiboot setups involving linux/grub. I found that grub stage 1.5 sometimes needs to be reinstalled because the system/drive map has changed in the target environment.

Generally, if the target is the same configuration as the source, it works.

Managed to get hold of a 40Gb IDE HDD for twelve notes yesterday and I can happily confirm that it's perfectly possible install an OS from a tib file and the rescue CD alone.   :laugh:

Thanks to all who suggested it would be a piece of cake because it was.  :thumb:
