I only have one.  Didn't know you then, so I was still buying sensibly!  ;D

:nana: ;D

I always feel a spare router may come in handy one day, so tend to keep them.

I've still got an old DG834G (version 1) in a cupboard. I'm sure it'll come in handy one day. :)

Well, there's the one I lend out if members need to try a different router and two for safety and security. ;D

Well, I did tell a little fib, as I forgot about the other three 2700s I accumulated, but if all those get stiffed by the update, I'll just have the one Netgear to fall back on.

I'm thinking of getting a Speedtouch for the cupboard, just in case. :)

I've spent half the evening looking for a CD. Buggered if I can find it.  :(

A feeling I increasingly know well. The filing system just ndoesn't work as well as you start to get older. :( Anyhoo... I'm off to catch my beauty sleep. I'll be back in a 100 years. ;D :bye:

Overnight BT have re-started the roll-out of V6 firmware, any 2700 using 5.29.117.6 firmware will be updated unless the ACS_URL has been changed as previously explained.

After the upgrade it is NOT possible to change back to old firmwares later.

What is the date of the referendum for England to become an independent country ?

Simon

Thanks Alan.  Do I need to worry about 5.29.107.19 yet?

In the event Simon, being a little reluctant myself to start with, it was very easy to do.  :thumb:
Just follow the steps one by one and it will be done.
Regards,

Les.

Simon

Yes, it's just putting my mind to it, Les.  :)

And for me it would mean having to download and Install opera to start with!

If you don't change it, then you will be updated.

Although the V6 firmware version number remains unchanged, some of the bugs have been fixed
