Disconnects itself

Had several drop outs these last few days.. Can anybody say if its my router/line or whatever causing it...
Had about 5 disconnects since about 0815 this morning.. It seems to have got worse
since all of this all this pipe upgrade a few days ago. Re-booted router yesterday, no difference.
A sample below... Must admit it dosn't make much sense to me.

It looks like a loss of sync at first glance, Alan. What's your downstream attenuation, noise margin and sync speed?

Did you notice the lights on the router at the time, Alan? What make/model is it, how's it connected to the phone line, eg via an extension cable, a hard-wired extension, or plugged into the master socket?

Thanks Rik..  DSL light blinks then I lose the internet light... Its a Zyxel Prestige 600 series
I have ADSl V1.0 Filtered plug and the PC is plugged direct into the master socket. Installed by BT who said I could dispose
of all filters in the house.. Which I did about 2 years ago.
I had interleaved turned off about 2 years ago and had no trouble until a few days ago.

The line has definitely been unstable, Alan, as your profile is low for the sync speed. Do you have snow laying? I'm just wondering whether a joint has been affected. Dial 17070 on a phone and select option 2, quiet line test. Do you hear any noise beyond a background hum or hiss?

We have about 4" of laying snow at the moment.... Line test carried out and all very quiet.

All I can suggest, then, is removing the faceplate and connecting to the test socket directly behind it. That will cut off any extensions. If the problem stops, then the faceplate has probably developed a fault. If it doesn't, it's likely to be a line fault and you'll need to talk to support to get it checked out.

I'll put up with it until the snow melts then see if its the same.. Sun out now so shouldn't be too long to wait.

Other than the profile, things look okay, and with a filtered faceplate, instability is quite rare. Wait and see what happens, and post back if you still have trouble. :)

Update...
Well pleased to say my router has now settled down and the last disconnection was 1437 yesterday. So it looks as though you were right Rik it may well have been the snow.
Still a lot laying about here in the Fens but I guess the Sun got to it on the right spot.
