I know there are other topics about this, but can someone tell me exactly what ID Net are trying to do about these phenomenal ping times, cutting out, low speeds...??

I'm an ID net Veteran and have never been let down but this is outrageous!

I'm not a techie, please explain in "simple" terms :D

the network at the moment is a bit broken and they are working on fixing the problem

does that cover simple

ah I see

yes that is simple enough

Any idea on time?

Well it was well and truly broken a minute or two ago.

My son lost Xbox360 connection and I made the mistake of trying to reboot the router and the router wouldn't sync.

My patience is running a bit thinner than it ought to be at the moment. :)

not sure on that one rik or one of the more wiser forum members should be along with that answer  :fingers:

"A bit" broken? I'd say it's a lot more than a bit. Ping times don't bother me as I don't game, but when I can't browse reliably, as has been the case all evening today, it's a bit much. I'm thoroughly fed up with IDNet. Yes, they're trying to fix it, but my patience is almost completely broken.

I can truly understand the frustrations, guys.  The night before last it was something to do with a fibre in Amsterdam, and last night, it was apparently something BT did.  Have no idea what caused the blips tonight, but it could still be BT fiddling about with the networks, so, although they've had lots of problems lately, we can't be certain that it's always IDNet to blame.

I have reported this evenings blips, so hopefully, Simon will comment tomorrow, as he has on most days since the problems started.  Can't say any more than that - sorry!

Edit:  can we please add any further comments to this thread, which has already been started this evening?

Thanks.  :)
Simon.
