From what I've read, water-cooled systems always leak, and it's only a matter of time... I don't think I'd like a water-cooled machine for the simple reason that I'd be worried about it all the time, and certainly wouldn't like to leave it running when not at home.

I'm a little loathe too, Seb, I'd rather buy a faster processor in the first place. TBH, for my use, it really wouldn't make that much difference.

All my machines since 2000 have been water cooled, not had a leak yet. To me water cooling is far better, and it keeps my machines cooler. This machine is running a 6600 quad and the bios is reporting a temp of just three degrees above ambient.

The main reason I prefer liquid cooling is that even when running at stock speeds it's just so much quieter. These days the biggest noise factor comes from the graphics card coolers but just stick on a GPU waterblock and the silence returns
