Thanks Glenn,I dont get annoyed anymore, its just a pc and as I said to Simon, I do tend to go the long route but learn a lot on the way, not just about pcs either  ;)  :thumb:

Thanks for your invaluable help Glenn  :thumb:

Followed thread with interest, well done David,  :karmic: deserved.  Not quite tempted to build my own pc but if i do have any problems i shall certainly bring this one round to your pl   have a go at fixing this one myself before buying a new one.
Brian

Take care of all your memories. For you cannot relive them.

David

:thnks: Brian. I have now changed the psu, installed ram and the graphics card and sorted out the little BIOS problem. This machine last year was dead and it was thought it was the mobo but after taking it apart (nothing to lose) and put back together its going better than before....I might try the graphics card next  ;D

Like I have said though its the experience and knowledge you gain which is the most valuable and passed on through this forum, which is worth its weight in gold. Not because it may solve an issue, for me it highlights how many nice people here who willingly share their knowledge and that to me is worth all the PCs in the universe.

One day I may just help someone out................until then I will carry on being a pain  ;)

Some of us have reached a dead end, though.    I seem to have reached a point where I know what I need to know, but anything else is still a mystery.

Now don't feel bad about it David, we are all learning and you can't help it if you are a failure and are always at the back of the class, just be glad we let you come on here and make a fool of your self so we can all laugh at you  >:D
