As usual I'll wait a little while before updating. ;D

There appears to have been a serious signature update problem with 3901, see here:

Also some problems from the RC version seem not to have been solved. Apparently ESET were in a hurry to get a final release out for the CeBIT convention in Germany, March 3-8th.
I ran the Beta and RC and they were really smooth and problem free, a whole new ball game from v3. Detection and especially cleaning is vastly improved.

Thanks for the info, Ian. Presumably it is still nice and light on system resources?

I have been using it since the beta was released last year

No problems here

runs better than v3 but its no 2.7 (man that was a good AV)

I used the trial to see what it was like (because I couldn't find my licence key for Kaspersky, doh!) and when I bought it, entered the licence key, the upgrade somehow went wrong and wouldn't protect my system so I had to uninstall it and then install the full product from scratch.

Not the best of starts to using this software  :-\

It seems like there are problems for some people with this latest update. http://www.wilderssecurity.com/forumdisplay.php?s=622592142c3623678b537cecf5eefbca&f=88
Its on my mums pc ok, but I think they have rushed it out Noreen and many at wilders think so as well, I am back to Kaspersky internet security 2009 and happy with that, but I would wait for a few versions of NOD v 4 to come and go before updating, my mum does not use her pc much so I'm not to worried about it on hers
Damned, if you do damned if you don't

Noreen

I do intend to wait, Gary. :)

You know what, that might actually have been what caused my BSOD the other day. I'd had no problems until installing NOD32, but it never occurred to me that it'd be this. It's only done it once, but I never noticed the error code on the BSOD as I was busy being shocked :D

Hi

Just done the uninstal of v3 and install of v4 with no problems have just run a full scan nothing found.

It would appear some early installs failed but this seems to have been resolved, now running Version. 4.0.314.0 virus database version 3917 .

I did by the way do the uninstall of version 3 in Safe Mode.

I've been running V4 of the Security Suite for about 3 days now with no problems.

I've put v4 on the Netbook. Only thing I noticed was it got in the way of installing McAfee Site Advisor (but nothing else) as it seemed to want to scan it interminably. I disabled it for the duration of the installation.
