AdBlock is a bit of a resource hog, which is a shame. I still use it though!

Steve

I wonder if its  more a hog than the ads its supposed to block.

i removed adblock and its fine again

shame...i really liked the way it blocked the ads
Try AdMuncher, that blocks ads in all browsers and instant messengers etc, been using that for ages and now slow down here as its a separate program.

is it free Gary.
you can use it free, or pay a nominal amount and have more updates for life, it lets you block individual urls and domains, it has a browse by proxy function, it stops websites changing your browser page size the list goes on, download it and see what you think, it works with Opera IE FF Live messenger your email client in fact any program you want it to. Use the new Beta is perfectly stable and has quite a few bug fixes http://www.admuncher.com/beta.pl
