Are you near a B&Q or similar (or a Maplin). Can you pick up an IDC tool (disposable ones are about £1), and just check that the 2 & 5 wires are well seated. Also, make sure that the same colour goes to the same terminal at each socket, eg blue/white are all on terminal 2, or vice versa.

Thanks Rik,

All wires are seated correctly and the right colour in the right number. I have even removed the wires from the socket where the router is plugged in, for the extension that we don't use. I will run a BT speedtest later.

Have you removed the ring wire from every socket, even those not in use?

I would have thought your profile should I have improved by now but sadly it hasn't,it seems to have got stuck (not unknown). I would suggest you contact support on Monday to see if they can get  BT to give it a kick.

Thanks Steve,

Unfortunately I was told yesterday, Provided the connection remains stable the profile will automatically update, this process can take up to 72 hours. Lets hope I don't lose connection again, and roll on the training period!!
