 Until wholesale DSL prices come down, we may see people plumping for quaility ISPs rather than those offering massive allowances yet nothing else in the form of quality of service, CS, freebies such as webspace, email and multiple IPs ... interesting times ahead

I believe Mr Saffron's article to be most salient. 

However, Jeff, surely that will only mean the discerning punter will plump for a quality ISP, i.e. one who can be bothered to see past the initial bang/buck ratio that the bigger services with TV based marketing appear to offer.
