Just wondered if anyone else is experiencing latency issues?  Last 2 nights have had problems (on GW5).  Started around 7.30pm this evening and is still continuing now.  Only aware of it as we are World of Warcraft players.... sad I know ;)  Anyone else having issues?

Desaan

Yes.....again......always in the evening, routing sucking ass somewhere.

Agoona

Am also experiencing latency problems - certainly peaking tonight.

Has also been occuring during the day as well (I work from home) but have been blaming recent Firefox releases.

Any news - any activity causing this?

Thanks

Archeros

2 more of us have been experiencing sudden high latency on WoW for the passed 30 minutes, its slowly getting back to normal now (tho ive been kicked from the hardmode Hodir tries /cry! :) but the conection seems far from happy. Seems slugglish and spiking a bit, tho vent doesnt seem to b effected, nor does the net or downloads if i try to.

Desaan

For me at least its not just game related, as I'm using Ventrillo at the same time and I'm getting massive latency problems there aswell.  I haven't been playing much online for the last 5-6 months until Tuesday this week when I started up again and I've noticed pretty shoddy latency times in general. 400+ms to 2k+ms is not a gaming connection.....

Guys, I would urge you to let IDNet know about this so they are able to look into the issue and resolve it.

gyruss

I'm on Terenas PvE realm, and getting massive latency to World of Warcraft in the 800ms to 2400ms range.  Websites seem fine, just appears to be wow and its only really been tonight too

That's just what I was going to say, Sebby, and I will also email IDNet and point them at this thread.  The more people who inform them of this, the more of a picture they'll be able to get, which will hopefully lead to a quicker fix.

Getting it here too.

Are your speeds suffering or is it just latency?

Simon

My speed is terrible tonight:

Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test:  -provides background information.
    Your DSL connection rate: 4544 kbps(DOWN-STREAM),  800 kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP profile for your line is - 4000 kbps
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 94 kbps  :bawl:

Not sure if it's connected to the above, but thought I'd post in case it's any help.

No issues on .net tonight pings and throughput fine. Simon's going for the record low, is that a wireless connection?

Which gateway are you on, Steve?

Getting it too, always see people skipping on my screen then I get booted back to the login screen. Tried to get back in but that results in instant disconnection until the fight is over. Was very bad on Mimiron today and trash to Vezax.

I'm on the Nordrassil realm at 80-239-149-56.customer.teliacarrier.com. Tracerts show nothing unusual, no packet loss either. Just solid 20-40ms. Pings ingame are 600-1200.

Internet seems fine though, low latency on mIRC and can max out torrent speeds as normal.

Stability, latency, the works. I feel like I'm back in the 1990's and on a modem...

robostac

Having the same problem, downloads going really slow, and any attempt to play games is met with large amounts of latency.

Just got invited back to the raid in WoW, but got booted back to login screen again as we started on another boss fight, its really not dealing with the heavy traffic from the combat for some reason.

All we can do at this time is gather data, and again, suggest you make problems known to support.  I have sent an email, directing them to this thread.

Thanks, so it doesn't appear to be gateway specific as it's across dsl4, gw5 and gw6.
