My speeds have dropped through the floor today, nothing showing on IDNet Status Page.

First time ever.

Normal 6500 is down to 1500 Max ..  >:( :'(

I have done a re-boot, still the same.

Anyone else?

PS;  BT Speed test shows 296kps . :o

I was getting normal speeds from the BT tester an hour or so ago, but the web seems to be crawling right now, including this site.

Good point, though I had 17, and the BBC says it's 20. :)

Could well be Robin.  Done a few speedtests and most are about half the usual today so there's something going on (exchange green etc etc etc).

Dont forget its half term in many places. It could be a factor.

Awful website loading speeds and bad pings today, don't think half term has anything to do with it as the net was just as speedy at christmas

Sorry, Aaron, are you saying speed was unaffected at Xmas, or was bad at Xmas? If, as I think I read your post, you mean it was unaffected, my own experience is that traffic falls during the Xmas period. However, during other school holidays, including snow days, it goes up.

Add in the effects of "Patch Wednesday" and it will have an impact.

Well, I understood you, but wanted to make sure I did. :)

One of the measures I put on 'net use is traffic in the various forums I visit. That dropped significantly over Xmas. While it's not a valid measurement of 'net traffic as such, it's a good indicator that people who are normally online are absent.

Works for me, anyway.  ;D

I can normally get anything between 3000 and 5000 in the afternoon... These last two days
the max I can get is between 234 and 350 and thats from 0900 in the morning and all day long.
I know my exchange is RED and not helping. I put it down to the little darlings bleeding me dry.

16 here  ???

Rik

Isn't Windows wonderful - we each have unique setups requiring different patching. :) Standards are such a great idea...
