It seems to have been a one off, so, with all due respect to Q, I'm not sure it requires further investigation.  :)

From what I can gather, Jill has yet to do what's been suggested as a remedy.

Well I don't like any of the alternatives, but at least I only have to log in once  :D

Rik

You only have to change the theme to establish the cookie, Jill, after than you can switch back to whatever you prefer.

Well it didn't work  :shake:

Simon

In which case, your browser can't be storing the cookie properly.  :dunno:

Simon

Jill, the only thing I can think of, assuming you've done all of the above, is to go into Core, log out, delete the cookie, then log back in and change the theme back to the one you want.  :)

Rik

Is there anything running on your machine, Jill, which cleans out cookies?

Oh, and don't forget to select Forever when you log back in.

Have to tell you, still got the problem re logging in. Tried all you suggested but, still no joy. Don't worry, It is not a big deal logging in each time :thumb:

I can undoubtedly live with the situation without losing any sleep

So can I!  ;D

It's very strange, though, and a little frustrating that I can't get inside your machine, as I've been running forums for over 6 years, and whenever this has cropped up, it's always turned out to be a cookie problem.

Just to eliminate the Skyline theme (although I don't think it is that), have you tried switching to Core, and staying on it for a while to see if the problem is still evident?  If not, it would help us if you could do so, as we'll then be certain it's not (or is!) theme related.

Thanks for your patience, Q!  :karmic:

Dangerjunkie

Hi,

Have you been logging in from another machine or your phone? I've come across some sites that only let you have one login cookie at once so if I log in from my PC at work then the stored login cookie on my laptop becomes invalid and I have to log in again when I next use it.

Cheers,
Paul.

Simon

Good thought, Paul, but I don't think that's the case here, as I can stay loghff in on both my phone and PC, and laptop, come to that, all at the same time.  :)
