So I started having problems with Comodo, namely it would take forever to initialise when I logged on and as a result I couldn't connect to the internet until it had. I therefore decided to upgrade my NOD32 to ESS4. Just wondering if anyone else is using it, and if so any tips (particularly the firewall side of things)? I've been to Wilderssecurity and  setup according to their recommendations (at least for ESS 3, as I couldn't find anything for ESS 4).

I only run the AV to, but as you've followed Wilderssecurity I'm sure you'll be fine. :)

My ESS4 firewall settings was kept from v3. so if you've got v3 settings from WS then you will be fine.

I did use it but hated the firewall on V3 to easy for malware to bypass and it mucked up networking. Not sure what V4 is like, think the latest 1046 firewall module is better but has a few issues as its still so new.
Damned, if you do damned if you don't

I'm running the 1046 module after reading a few threads on WS. Seems okay so far, not experienced any issues yet. It's a nice change from fighting with Comodo!

I think once the 1046 module is released I'll turn off "Testing". Apparently there is a workaround to get 1046 by defualt without having it turned on but it's long winded and requires a couple of re-boots into safe mode...
