Removing an old device from the network list?

Can anyone advise on a small problem with my 2700 network device list please?

I am running a dual SSID model with V5.29.107.12 firmware. One of my machines is running linux and I forward a few ports to it such as smtp, http etc.. I have just rebuilt the linux system using a new motherboard with has a nic chip with a different mac address. I have given the new computer the same internal ip address (192.168.0.20) and also the same name.

The network list in the 2700 shows two entries, one for the old system and one for the new, both with the same name. The old system has no ip address and the new system has the correct one. My question is how can I remove the old defunct name from the network list? I don't want to go through a factory reset and all the hassle that causes in setting the logon and password again.

Any guru know if it's possible to remove the old name? Maybe it will just expire?

I've found that unused connection expire, JB, though I haven't yet worked out how long it takes. I've never seen anywhere to delete them.

Though, if you go to:

http://192.168.1.254/xslt?PAGE=J09&THISPAGE=J08&NEXTPAGE=J09

on my router there's a checkbox to 'Show inactive devices in network list'. Unchecked, that should deal with the problem, I think.

http://192.168.0.254/xslt?PAGE=J21&THISPAGE=J05&NEXTPAGE=J21 allows you to reset the network devices on a single ssid

I don't think you can delete individual devices though.

I've had one stuck on mine since I used it on another PC, and never found out how to get rid of it.

Just wanted to say thank you to Rik  and to Lance  for both suggestions.

Finally went with clearing the network (Lance) and then deselected the setting to show inactive devices for the future (Rik).

What an amazing depth of knowledge there is on the forum.
