My only issue with the TT is that it doesn't want to use the M6 Toll. So far, all the suggestions from TT support have involved me losing all my own settings and not resolving the issue (which I think is a flaw in the program logic). Luckily, I have backups, so it's an easy job to restore everything (though I did find it tricky when the thing went into Polish for a while!!). Computers...  :shake:

I had the same problem with TT software Rik.

The only way I could get it to route me via the M6 Toll was to zoom in to the maximum setting and carefully generate a waypoint actually on the M6 Toll road itself. Then to travel from Cheshire to Dover I had to instruct the thing to route via that waypoint. Took me several goes to set up a waypoint that did the job. A bit of a b@ll ache but it did the job in the end.

BTW. Have had the NC10 for about 2 weeks now. Very impressed. Just put the SRWare Iron browser (Google Chrome without the 'extra' bits) and it flies.

Thanks Ted is this easy to use .....you know me if it can go wrong I will find a way.........to be honest in an ideal world I would have taken the HD out and obliterated it but that isnt an option and I have too many set ups here 2 lap tops 2 desktops is enough for one man really

Quick cuppa I think ,just finished for the day  ;)

Yes its very easy, download the program, burn it to a CD \ DVD, boot from that disc and follow the instructions. You can pretty much accept all the defaults, It takes a while to run through, that's because it does such a thorough job at wiping the HD.

Make sure there is nothing on the HD you need, you will not be getting it back, not even from a data recovery firm!

The worst that can happen is that it won't wipe your HD, in which case its HAMMER TIME  ;D

Thanks for that, JB, it confirms my suspicion that there's a flaw in the logic somewhere - it sees the toll route as longer and therefore slower, and ignores it for that reason. In fact, it's faster, of course.

It's a nice little machine, isn't it. I would want to run Photoshop on it, but for surfing, email, the odd letter etc it's great.
