QuoteAVM develops and manufactures products for your broadband connection. The Berlin-based communications specialist has received numerous awards for its innovative FRITZ! product range. FRITZ! enables fast, user-friendly ADSL access, easy networking, inexpensive Internet telephony and versatile multimedia applications.

Founded in 1986 in Berlin, AVM is one of the top two manufacturers of ADSL devices in Europe. With over 50 percent of the market share, it is the leading manufacturer in Germany, Europe's largest market. AVM has 460 employees and generated a turnover of €220 million in the 2008 fiscal year.

At least thats what they say, personally its the first I have heard of them.

Been using a 7050 as my voip-normal phone ata, it does have adsl capability but it's cr*p.

My phone quality is so poor (quiet etc) voip was the only way to go, plus it gives us a seperate  phone number and bill's for all of us. (mother lives with me)

My company is a business voip provider and i have the worst adls line in the company so guess who has to do all the testing. as well as look after the datacentre etc.

we also have our own pstn switch (can handle 500,000 concurrent calls) were on the backbone of the main london fibre ring and later next year Wholesale Line Rental (WLR3) and Carrier Pre Select (CPS) will be on the platform.

Just a pain i have the worse adsl in the company.

Just a small point. In the USA if an item breaks down it is described as going 'on the fritz' :dunno:? :dunno:
