After a conversation with Miriam this morning it transpires that BT didn't actually complete and sign off my regrade until yesterday evening.

After 35 disconnects between 12am and 9.35am my connection has been stable and not disconnected once.

I've just switched on my router and it's sync'd at 17848, with a profile of 15000 and noise margin of 11.6, so I ran a speed test and...

Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test:  -provides background information.
    Your DSL connection rate: 17847 kbps(DOWN-STREAM),  1240 kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP profile for your line is - 15000 kbps
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 1515 kbps

:eek4:

If it's any consolation, and it won't be, I'm currently getting 600k and am not best chuffed. :(

Something's not quite right with people's speeds, it seems... :dunno:

My line stats should point to a pretty decent connection

Sync: 17848
Profile: 15000
Noise 11.6 (downstream)

And my noise margin has been pretty stable since I switched on the laptop earlier this evening as the screenshot shows.

I've been trying the out of hours support number but it just rings and rings.

Maybe something big's going down?  :'(

See Simon's announcement. BT have failed to deliver two orders for extra capacity on the hostlink and the mass migrations today have just blown the existing capacity away. Words are being had at high level with BT.
