From my DG834G V4 (5.01.09) are currently:-

ADSL Link           Downstream         Upstream
Connection         Speed 8128 kbps  448 kbps
Line Attenuation  14.0 db               8.0 db
Noise Margin       14.2 db               23.0 db

I'm now getting a little concerned that it's all going to go tits up when I switch to ADSL2+ next week, so much so I may just stick with ADSL max as it works so well.

I have very similar stats to you Jonathan, when my ping is low I have a really solid connection!  As your a gaming fan like myself I can assure you with stats like that there really is no need to change.  :)

I think you're right mate. I'm going to give serious thought to canceling my regrade order.

I calculate you're likely to sync at around 20,600, with a throughput of ~18M, plus reduced ping times.

On second thoughts  ;D

;D Yeah after Rik saying that I think I would be having second thoughts as well!!  If you do change over let me know how you get on, not that I can change but would hope one day in the future I could sync like that.

;D

For me it will make little or no difference except on pings and upstream speed.  :'(

This maybe a really daft question  BUT it is Sunday and I haven't woken up properly and probably wont till tomorrow.  How can I check to see if I can have adsl2+?  For some reason I already think I can't but have never actually check...

The answer is no :(  Some point this year hopefully :)

If you log on to your customer page on IDNet's website that will tell you if you can upgrade to ADSL2+. Or check your exchange on http://www.samknows.com/broadband/search.php

Though Sam tends to be a bit out of date atm...

I guess he can't know everything!  ;D

I think he's having trouble keeping up with the success of his board, Jonathan. I suspect it's got to the point of needing hired help now.

It seems to have become an industry standard.

I didn't know he had a co-founder, though.
