Control panel usage reset

Hi folks,
I was moved from gw6 to gw5 on Saturday and then discovered my usage on my control panel has been reset.

This was not going to worry me as I have never been near my limits.  However, I received an email today telling me that if I continue I will exceed my limit by 46gig (£46). 

I have sent an email to support but was wondering if there was anything I could do (other than go offline).

Any ideas how I can measure my own usage?  Any app I have used before gets messed up by other traffic on my home network to my file server.

See if it settles over the next few days, Paul.  Sometimes the usage gets reported inaccurately immediately following a change.  If you're sure you haven't used the amount being reported, have a word with support, and they can check things out in more detail.  I assume your router is secure?

Hi Simon,

Yes, it is secure.  I am hoping that some downloading that I did in the first few days of the month (18gig) is simply getting multiplied by the IDNET system.
If I were to keep going at that rate then I would go well over quota.

However, I have no plans to do that.  Its just a bit scary to see the warning but not be able to check.

I'll see what support can do for me.

As Simon says, see how it goes, and if you think it's wrong, let IDNet know. They're very good people, so I'm sure they'll see you're okay.

It will be, the system samples a seven day period and extrapolates, so if you 'go heavy' at the start of the month, it will generate a warning.

Thanks Rik,  it has been resolved now.

If my good wife saw £46 on top of £35 for one month net I would definately be put in the slow lane
