Routerstats

Hello!

Hope you've all had a topping day!

I downloaded Routerstats earlier on having seen it mentioned in another thread. I love these sort of programs and thought I'd see what I got.

I enabled telnet and I got these stats from the downstream page:-

Noise Margin: 13.2 dB
Connection Rate: 8128 Kbps
Line Attenuation: 14.0 dB
Power: 15.7 dBm
Max Rate: 10304 Kbps

All seem fine and not unexpected but the Max Rate caught my eye. Does that just apply to the ADSL Max service I'm on at the moment, or will that apply to ADSL2+ as well?

Max rate is showing what you could get on ADSL Max, at the target margin of 6dB, if the service was able to sync higher.

On ADSL2+, you should get better than 10Mb I'd have thought.

My calculation suggests a sync of 20600 and a throughput of 18000.

And more than a little chuffed

I'll let you know how it goes...the big day is tomorrow. I'm getting a bit worried about it (as some of you may have guessed) as I'm a worrier anyway and do also suffer from boubts of anxiety!

I'm scared to death about tomorrow, and if I'm left without a connection - I won't know until after around 18:30 - so it will be too late to do anything about it.

Worse case scenario is I can't login at all when I have my monthly spotlight artist playing at my SL club - Arghhhh

I can tell he's good, but a little too mellow for me. He looks more of a rocker!
