Thanks Rik, I did one workout with Sporty this weekend, i downloaded the version for 1.5 since there is no update for 2.0 on Pulse yet.
This application really rocks, having the speed, map, real time movement etc.
Also great community behind after uploading to their site: http://www.sportypal.com

That's great, thanks for the feedback. :thumb:

Save battery power on you Android phone, try Juicedefender from, http://www.latedroid.com/search/label/Apps

I loaded it yesterday morning, from what I can see today, it does do what it says on the box.

Since I got my Wildfire, one thing that I've kind of been struggling with was typing text messages / emails / general text input.  I was looking on the andriod forums and found something called Swype.  Not available on the market though and the beta has ended.  So I looked a little harder and found

SlideIT

There is a time limited "demo version" and I've been trying it out.  Entering text now is very easy and very fun :)

Might be persuaded to buy the full version, will try it for the month and see how I get on with it.  If you have text input problems with your droid, give this a try.

Load Appbrain on to you phone, then go to the webpage, log on with your google account, from there you can search the market place, then, add apps to load on to the phone when you sync next.

The trial period for the SlideIT app expired this morning so I've bought the full version.  I just can't go back to entering text using the standard keyboard.  This method of text entry should be standard on Android phones.

Highly recommended.

A similar app to SportyPal is RunGPS - it seems to have much the same features, and comes in a free 'Lite' version as well as a Pro version. A cool new feature is that it now lets you re-run your training session, tracking along in 3D in Google Earth. Fun.

Another Swype/SlideIT style keyboard app is ShapeWriter, currently not on the Market, but I found the APK here: ShapeWriter APK.

Oh, and while I'm at it, don't miss Need For Speed Shift, the best racer out there!
