Logged on this morning and my connection was touch and go then it lost the plot completly and has been down all day.

I tried resetting the router etc but no joy. i'm at work at the mo and my other half at home says its still down.

Any ideas for when i get home before calling support?

I have a netgear DG something something something something  :P (its the one everyone has)

Thanks. (i'm hoping BT are at my exchange upgrading) ha ha. sorry that should be in the Joke thread  ;D

I've had a word with support. You're syncing at your normal 8128 since 8:03 this morning, but then disconnected without dropping sync. You don't appear to have a stale session, but try re-booting your router again. If you re-connect, then do a tracert to www.idnet.net. As far as IDNet can tell from their end, your problem is with the PPP session, but you have authenticated OK, so it's not a password issue. If it doesn't re-connect after the re-boot, trying powering down for 30 minutes and try again.

Just an update.

Was still not working after you suggestions Rik so i called Support (for the 1st time ever!) and spoke to a Marie/Maria? and she talked me through a few bits and it seemed my Router was being silly. I lost connection again as soon as she left but got it back about 30 mins later and its still on now apparently.

She advised me to do a firmware update to see if it make sthe router a bit more stable.
