Hi! All

Does anyone know how to alter the text/font on the IE8 Favourites Bar? I've tried everything, to no avail :dunno:

Rik

Do you mean size, Q? If so, try holding down Ctrl and pressing the numeric pad + key.

Your suggestion does enlarge the main text (thanks for that) but I'm afraid the Favourites Bar remains the same. I really would like to change the font as the one used is, for me, 'scrawny', if you know what I mean?

Rik

Sorry, Q, I have no idea on that as I use Firefox. :(

Just had a play Q, cant see a way, guess it may be a reg hack, try googling it, you could always adjust your screen resolution instead, although not the best answer  :(

I think you would have to change the default system fonts to do what you want, as I understand it, Q.  That would obviously alter other display settings too.

Sebby

As Simon says, I think it would be a case of changing the system fonts.

I attempted this via Control Panel/Appearance & Themes etc but without success. It really is an odd situation. Maybe I will do as Gary says and Google it and take it from there. Thanks anyway. ;)

Have you tried ease of access accommodate low vision? Not sure how bad it is for you but thats for people with poorer eyesight I believe.

Does Vista have a clear type tuner? That can do a lot to help.

Yes Rik, tried all that still no good. Have googled the problem and there are pages and pages on the subject but as far as I can see none come quite close enough to my particular problem :( Rang Microsoft tech support, went through about 15 different choices, eventually found the one I wanted, pressed the button and guess what? You guessed it, got cut off >:( Good job the 087 numbers are now included or it would have cost me around £1.20 :eek4:

Rik

I know that feeling. :) I wonder whether you could resolve this by changing the default font in your theme?
