I'm trying to find someone, anyone at all who upgraded to WBC, had problems and then successfully reverted back to Max.

My transition to WBC has been an abysmal failure so I've considered going back to Max. However I can't find anyone here or on other forums that's had any success downgrading. It's almost as if people are being deliberately penalised for going backwards.

My only other option is to move to a different ISP which is something of a last resort for me as it means a change of email address which at this time could cause me a lot of problems.

If that really is the case it provides an instant answer to everything I've read. Is there any way of finding out for sure do you think?

Zappa mate I reverted back myself after my throughput was halved from 6.5 - 3.5 roughly, now speeds are back to what they used to be altough my pings are stupidly high, but IDnet are working on that one.

Not for sure, Zap, but based on various conversations I've had, it does seem to be what is happening. There has been no sign of a lift and shift on regrading, as there is for the original upgrade and, talking to a local BT engineer, they are ripping out DSLAMs as fast as they can go.

Thanks Glen, that's good to know. I'd be interested to hear how you get on with the latency issue  :fingers:

Talk to support first. I was in the same situation, and got as far as asking to be reverted. Support spoke to BT - a lot, and finally got me back to pre WBC speeds (As it happens, I have an extra 650k on my profile now - but I'm not holding my breath of that lasting looking at my stupidly low SNR).

Have I lost my way?

I'll probably give support one more call to see if anything can be done  :)
