Adsl max went back on at 3.15 this afternoon and at the moment my throughput is 1.9mbps but should be about 7mbps,but early days yet. Here's hoping  :fingers:

You'll have a 2Mb profile for a little while as always happens when regraded, hence the 1.9Mb throughput. :)

glen

Yeah it's only been 4 hours or so since it changed back. Must have patience!!

I'm waiting with baited breath on this one, since I'm seriously considering doing the same.

As an aside, was there any charge for reverting?

Steve
Have I lost my way?

BT charge IDNet a regrade fee, whether it's an upgrade or a reversion, which they pass on to customers, but it might be worth having a word with them if you have received a particularly poor service.

My other routers all work again now since the regrade, so I'm back to my Billion 5200g which seems to give a better connection than the dg834g :thumb:

Ok wee update for you. Router reconnected at 8.15 this morning, throughput was 6.3 mbps, but pings are around 200ms at the moment, but it's early days.

Keep an eye on it, and if pings don't improve, let IDNet know so they can look into it.

glen

To be honest I'm getting fed up, all I seem to be doing for the past month is checking my connection for this and that, instead of actually surfing the web, so I'm thinking of looking elsewhere. When I first signed up the connection was fantastic but since the last month or so it's up and down constantly. Hopefully these high pings will calm down. :fingers:

Oh dear, this is not what I wanted to hear. Low latency along with reliability is of paramount importance to me. My fingers are crossed for you Glen  :fingers:

Post deleted. Posted in wrong thread. It seems the forum posts in "last page visited" and not in "current open tab". Very confusing :/
I use to have a signature, then it all changed to chip and pin.

Umm... sorry?  Could you clarify that, Ben?  We've not heard that one before.  :)
