Here we go again, high pings one minute then slow speeds, then web pages taking forever to load. When's this cr*p going to stop. I went back to adsl max thinking all would be fine, but it''s been a week now and my connection is up and down constantly

Are you on g6 or gw5 or whatever else? Im on gw5 and my pings are 29ms to idnet.net and thats over a wifi link. Pages are loading well. Have you tried clearing your dns cache?
Damned, if you do damned if you don't

No problems here on WBC, Glen.

Long shot but have you given the machine a good virus scan and spyware scan as well, I am sure its not your machine but best to make sure.

Thanks for your replies. Yes Gary, no malware or virus, plus a lot of the time I surf using linux for the sole purpose of avoiding most of that. Will call Idnet again, and see what they say. Just feel like all I'm doing is checking my connection constantly instead of actually surfing the web. It's been like this for about 4-6 weeks now, so I'm close to calling it a day.

I understand, Glen, it's not very nice to have to be constantly monitoring your connection.
