Firefox oddity on BBC site

I don't run FF maximised, and I notice that, when I follow a link to a video on the BBC site, FF re-sizes to the video window, albeit in a new tab, and I have to re-size back to my normal dimensions when I exit the video. I've also seen the reverse, where I follow a link and FF will expand, needing a manual re-size afterwards. FF is set to run in a normal window.

Anyone else notice this, anyone know a cure?

TIA

Which version of FF are you using?

I just tried FF2 and ran some video news at the BBC ,no re-sizing of pages etc for me.

This is a problem with the old firefox i think. Are you using FF2? If not, download now :)

Ok for me the Video clip opens in a new resized window - doesn't resize original browser window though. I am using FF2

I'm on 2.0.0.1.

Screen res is 1600x1200, I'm running FF at 1169 x 1197 (I did an alt-PrtSCR, and went into Photoshop, before you ask. :) )

Edit: I use the Windows Media Player option, not the Real - which always seems to hang on my machines for some reason.

Update:

If I go to the BBC site and click on a video, FF opens a separate window, sized to the video. It's only if I click on a link that the problem occurs.
