Are your pings better? The earlier advice I was giving on IP addresses has clearly not worked as expected.

I don't know whether to put this in a separate thread, but to have the MD of your ISP ring you, since he had noticed my earlier comment on this forum regarding excessive pings is truly exemplary service.   :)

It's a pity not everyone appreciates the efforts IDNet often go to, so thanks for posting that, Tac.  :thumb:

Its feels alot quicker tonight.

Its tempting to try when I get home but support will have gone home, I think I'll give my router a dose of something beginning v and ending with a. :fingers:

Thats with interleaving on though? If so then thats good.

Mines on fast and averaging 13ms. Interleaving takes mine near the 100ms mark.

Rik

Yes, interleaving on, sadly.

This is the old link I think, will reset PPP tomorrow instead as it looks like some are still having ping issues on the new hostlink so will wait for it to settle down.

Btw, how do you reset PPP on a Netgear DG834? I could only find reboot and that will give me too high a sync if done in the day.

:D Watch out on the battlefield I'm back! Anyone know why my first hop says 3ms instead of 1ms? Do I have a lazy router? I'm using homeplugs if that would make a difference.

Not necessarily, it seems the IP addresses are not working as expected.

One thing i noticed Rik..

I got moved from telehouse-gw2-lo2.idnet.net [212.69.63.55] to telehouse-gw2-lo1.idnet.net [212.69.63.51]

So maybe if the 2nd line changes from your old tracert then you've been moved?

Rik

It seems it's something like that, Paul.
