There appears to be problems between FF 3.5.1 and Febe 6.1, whereby FF reports Febe as being incompatible and disables it. I've just found this to be the case. In Windows XP by the way.
The answer is to install the latest version from Here this is version 6.2 and works with no problems.

I'm running 6.1 on 3.5.1 with no problems, Ted, also in XP.  :dunno:

It doesn't appear to be a problem for everybody but i've found a few threads where people are reporting the same thing. I'm running 3.5.1 and 6.1 on Linux with no problems as well.
I just got hold of a Compaq PC as a spare (free)  ;D cleaned it out, updated software etc, installed Febe, no problem but on restart it reports an incompatibility issue. 6.2 does sort it out though.

Weird, Ted. I've updated now (if only he'd sort out that need to clear the preferences every time...).  :thumb:

It doesn't look too widespread a problem, Ray. It just drove me nuts for half an hour, so i thought i'd mention it just in case anybody sees the same issue.

I actually installed and used it too restore bookmarks from another machine, worked great but on shutdown/startup, it was disabled. Grrrrrr!

I wonder what the work/don't work trigger is?
