I very rarely have problems, so I'm convinced that there is not just one test site. However, given that you and Q live at the opposite ends of the country, Zap, I can only assume that most of them are 'under-dimensioned'. :eyebrow:

I agree, I rarely have a problem with it either, is that 'techno speak' for congested or overloaded? Rik.  ;D

It's BT-speak for "we're not going to tell you what the real problem was", Ray. ;D

I think the managers at BT would make good Politicians, Rik, they seem to be experts at spin and obfuscation.  ;D ::)

Glenn

Under-dimensioned = insufficient capacity?

Can't do a test today so far. I did actually get halfway through the speedtest when it came up with the busy message and now it says that I can't have another test for three hours. >:(

Rik

Typical, they can't even be honest about errors. :sigh:

Very rarely have problems with BT tester up here near sunny Leeds, Just ran a test.

Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test:  -provides background information.
    Your DSL connection rate: 4992 kbps(DOWN-STREAM),  448 kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP profile for your line is - 4000 kbps
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 3760 kbps

Brian

Take care of all your memories. For you cannot relive them.

Rik

Pretty much spot on, Brian, though note how the profile system costs you the best part of a meg. :(

Have just managed to do a test at third attempt. I've actually managed to stay connected for over 30 hours (shhhhh, don't tell anybody!) although my speed is slower than last test.

Rik

I suppose it's a least halfway decent. :( Hopefully, you'll be flying again by Tuesday. :fingers:
