I looked at this when it came out, and decided I didn't need it. But times change and it could be useful now...

I did a search on "Photo Gallery" in this forum, but nothing recent turned up and things may have changed. I'm not unduly bothered about access control¹, the main thing I want to know is how I get stuff up there! Is there a server-side upload mechanism or do I have to use ftp or similar?

Using an iMac if it matters.

A reminder about the space available wouldn't go amiss either...

¹ if it's something I don't want you lot to see I'll host it on my home computer  :P

The Album/Gallery software handles the upload, iirc, Bill (I only set one up to test it and haven't been back since). You have 1, 2 or 3GB available, depending on your ADSL package, and that's split between webspace, album and blog, you can set the % allocation from your customer account page when setting up the album.

I can't really see me ever setting up either a web site or a blog (especially a blog!) but you never know... can the allocations be changed later?

Yes, they can, Bill. And, whisper this quietly, IDNet seem to be fairly relaxed about the space allocation...

Thanks Rik, I'll give it a whirl when I'm awake (busy day yesterday and a late night  ;))
