I tried accessing the IP address directly, and got the same page, so I wonder if something happened to your DNS and it resolved wrongly. Best ask A&A, David.

It sounds a bit like the problem IDNet had with IPv6.

I've seen that before. When I was with Nildram and they basically ran out of bandwidth and were sharing pipes with Newnet, when you logged into Nildram you'd see that page (or similar) or get a really bad connection. You'd then have to switch to the Newnet login.

I had this error page a couple of times recently with IDNet.

It always happened when I was surfing, and the downstream seemed to get stuck. I assumed it was BT working on the line.  ::)

After rebooting I was still disconnected from IDNet but synced o.k. with exchange.   :dunno:

=Bob=.
Sky/Easylink LLU. Thankfully! ;-)

Rik

Possibly a stale session. BT do seem to be doing a lot of unannounced engineering work - often creating problems in the process.

So an A&A issue made worse by the interface with BT. :( I know from IDNet that some BT circuits just don't recognise the disconnection, leading to a stale session problem. That's why we often give the advice to power down the router for up to 15 minutes.

I used to wear cravats, but now I just wear a beard, it does the same job and never has to be re-tied. ;D

For some reason, I've never gone for pink, or any pastel shades. I like a full-bodied, deep-dyed, colour. Preferably black. ;D

Cant be any fairer than this can you ?again it highlight BTs failure and what it is doing to smaller isps  :shake:

Rik

Doesn't it just, David. Curiously, since the last MK node outage, my pings have improved by 4ms, as reported by the router and in tests. Which suggests to me that BT hadn't built a circuit correctly in the first place.
