Received this message via email from Netgear Router:>>>>>UDP Packet - Source:71.195.172.227,31799 Destination:**.**.***.***,14840 - [DOS]<<<<<

The message title was 'Security Alert'. Need I be concerned?

Your router blocks it so no need to worry, I get them once in a blue moon as well. Its just your firewall doing its job
Damned, if you do damned if you don't

Rik

What Gary said, Q, the router is just waiting for you to pat it on the head and throw it a biscuit. ;D (Food in the thread by reply 2!)

The security alerts to worry about are the ones you don't get... hence a decent software firewall!

@ Gary (or Rik)- you might like to take Q's IP address out of the quote...

Thanks, Rik, I'd missed it in the quote, Gary must have posted his reply just before I removed it from Q's original post.
